about pilates en france
Pilates en France is the realisation of a dream for its owner, Melanie Geenty – a qualified Pilates teacher and massage therapist.
With a long–standing passion for Pilates, Melanie became a fully qualified matwork and equipment Pilates teacher in 2002. This followed an intensive 18 month training and apprenticeship programme with a Pilates Foundation approved training studio in London, culminating in a fulll qualification with distinction.
Melanie opened her own studio, Pilates in Kew, at the beginning of 2003 and quickly established a dedicated and loyal client base.
The idea of creating Pilates en France was first conceived when Melanie was still living in London, teaching Pilates in her Kew–based studio. Several clients had asked her whether there was somewhere to go for a short, luxury break which offered the opportunity to practice Pilates.
So it was that later, when Melanie decided to make her home permanently in France, she sought a property which would allow her to create such a haven. A place which, in addition to offering Pilates tuition, would provide the perfect ambience in which to relax and socialise in the company of good friends. 'Les Tilleuls' perfectly fulfils these criteria – and so Pilates en France was born.
